CAROLYN S. PROJANSKY
We mourn our beloved Carolyn who lost a courageous battle with cancer on November 3, 2011. Survived by her children, Mira and Adam Glasser; former husband, Matt Glasser and sister, Linda. Memorial service to be held at Adat Shalom, Bethesda, MD on November 20 at 1 p.m. Carolyn was a loyal friend and dedicated filmmaker. Per her wishes, contributions may be made to the Carolyn Projansky Scholarship Fund, Women in Film and Video, 3628 12th Street NE, Washington, DC 20017.

Carolyn and I were good friends in high school. Her warmth, integrity, and friendship were a balm to me. We kept in touch in college but lost touch after. I'm so sorry to learn of her death, now many years ago. My heart goes out to her family. She was a beautiful soul.

Matt, Adam and Mira, I was so saddened to learn today, from a friend in common, of Carolyn's passing in the fall. She was a really special lady and we bonded over both being Badgers. I enjoyed chatting with her at the pool where I occasionally saw her. She always had a cheerful, upbeat outlook and big smile. My heart goes out to you all and please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Though we lived 3,000 miles apart, I felt so close to you in spirit since the day we met more than 30 years ago, Carolyn. I knew you were pursuing your dreams in every way you possibly could. You were so incredibly brave and you made the world a much better place through your work and your life.

Carolyn, missing you so much, your strength of character, your honesty and deep intelligence and most of all seeing the endless love you give to Mira and Adam. Just across the street in our little hollow, we saw Carolyn fight the cancer that took her away too soon from the world and her family. She enriched our Cabin John street with exotic art from Africa and her children, whom we have watched matured into fine young adults. I know they will always treasure their mother's memory. May they grow and prosper. Our sincere condolences to Mira, Adam, and Matt.

We will always treasure the memory of having been Carolyn's neighbors. We hope that Carolyn's family and friends, especially Mira and Adam, take comfort in the fact that Carolyn was well loved until the end.
