WALTER EDWARD GRIMES (Age 79)
On Sunday, October 9, 2016, Walter Edwards Grimes of Suitland, MD, departed into eternal rest. Retired Air Force Airman, he served for 22 years. Beloved husband of Roenia N. Grimes; devoted father to Karen Galloway (Zena), Talaya and Walter Grimes. Also survived by four grandchildren, Zarena, Giavanna, Kiara, and Vandon Galloway; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends Monday, October 17, 2016 at Suitland Road Baptist Church, 6412 Suitland Rd., Suitland, MD 20746 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 9 a.m. Arrangements by Strickland Funeral Services.www.stricklandfuneralservices.com

I am so sorry for your loss. It is always so very hard to lose a loved one in death. God understands your loss and is near to all those calling on him. To all who call on him in truth. He hears their cry for help, and he rescues them. (Psalms 145:18) To his wife Roenia N. Grimes, children Karen Galloway (Zena), Talaya and Walter Grimes and four grandchildren, Zarena, Giavanna, Kiara, and Vandon Galloway, your family and friends have my deepest condolences.

Walter, was great husband, father and serviceman. I will miss his laughter; he always lifted my spirit. He will be truly missed, but he is now in God's loving arms.
