ROSEMARY DEILY

ROSEMARY H. DEILY   
Of Silver Spring, Maryland, died peacefully on July 8, 2017. She was born on October 17, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Joseph and Mary Hottinger. After graduating from St. Hubert's High School in Philadelphia, she completed nursing studies at the Hahnemann Hospital Training School for Nurses, also in Philadelphia, where she graduated No. 1 in her class. After working as a hospital operating room nurse, she moved to Washington, DC to work as Registered Nurse for the Federal Bureau of Investigation where she met Special Agent Richard J. Deily. Rosemary and Dick were married in 1952, and their love for and dedication to each other never did waiver.  Longtime parishioners of St. Camillus and then Resurrection Catholic Churches, both located in Silver Spring, MD, Rosemary and Dick raised five children. She was always cheerful and outgoing, interested in learning about other's lives, and she had an infectious smile that gained her friends everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed. Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Dick Deily; son, Hank Deily (Colleen) of North Potomac, Maryland; daughter, Mary Beth Deily of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; daughter, Terri Deily Geck (Duane) of San Rafael, California; son, John Deily (Karolyn) of Washington, DC; and daughter, Barbara Deily Gauthier (Rich) of Great Falls, Virginia; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a grandson-in-law. Viewing will be held at the Chapel in the Riderwood Retirement Community, 3140 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904 on Thursday, July 13 from 10 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. A reception at Riderwood will follow.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Riderwood Benevolent Care Fund, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, MD 20904. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com
