Herbert Nickens Obituary
NICKENS HERBERT P. NICKENS On December 4, 2008 at the Avalon House. He is the Loving husband of Beverly A. Nickens and Devoted father of Linda (Michael) Griffin and the late Ralph Nickens; Stepfather of Brenda (Gregory) Senseney, Hugh (Kathleen) Melia, Ronald Melia, Ralph “Eric” Melia and Linda (Andrew) Capoccia. He is also survived by two brothers Leon and Richard Nickens, one sister Mildred Faxio, four grandchildren Dawnita Page, Ralph Nickens, Tarsha Jones, Rodney Edmonds; two step- grandchildren James Melia and Aaron Dooley, several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Sylvia Nickens. Relatives and friends are invited to Herbert‘s Life Celebration at Money and King FUNERAL HOME, 171 W. Maple Ave. Vienna, VA on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Unity of Fairfax Church, 2854 Hunter Mill Rd. Oakton, VA 22124 on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity of Fairfax Church or Evercare Hospice, 8245 Boone Blvd. Suite 401 Vienna, VA 22182.
