JORGENSEN HERBERT W. JORGENSEN Of Darnestown, MD passed away on April 20, 2010, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his dear wife of 52 years, Bettie (Thrift) Jorgensen. Devoted father of Chris Jorgensen, Eric Jorgensen (Mary Ellen) and Mary Beth Jackson (Steve). Loving grandfather to Sean and Elizabeth Jorgensen and to Jack, Jorgen and Madison Jackson. Survived by his sister Marie Borgeson and predeceased by brothers Edward and Carroll Jorgensen. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1948. A prominent Montgomery County attorney for over 40 years, he was a founding partner in the law firm of Heise Jorgensen and Stefanelli, P.A. and Fenton Title Co. He also served on numerous boards including Citizens Savings Bank, Provident Bank of Maryland, the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, The Bullis School, Christ Episcopal School and the Vestry of Christ Episcopal Church. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 24 at 11 a.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 107 S. Washington St., Rockville, MD. He will be buried at sea off the coast of his beloved Ocean City.
