Can’t believe it had been 7 years since Kathy passed. I still think about all the good times we had at Fairfax ED. Besides being a great doctor she was a good friend. I still think about her husband and family. Sorry she was taken from you so early. ❤❤ Louise Worley

Kathy was a wonderful ER physician that I worked with for many years. Whenever she woke me up, I knew it was for a patient that needed a surgeon.

I worked with Kathy at Fairfax Hospital ER and Access of Reston for 15 yrs inthe 70's and 80's. She was so much fun to work with and was very supportive of the nurses. I remembering the nurses giving her a shower when she had her first child and making a cross stitched blanket for her.She was an excellent Physician and we nurses felt good when she was on duty when we were working. My prayers are with her family. What a loss.

I worked with Kathy in the ER at Loudoun Memorial Hospital (in Leesburg) back in the late 70s when she was moonlighting resident, I was the evening ER staff nurse. She was smart, funny and so good to work with. Two memories for her legacy come to mind: A fractious fragile patient was refusing a blood transfusion (back in the day, these were done in the ER which was like an outpatient clinic for some); Kathy said very quietly, "just offer it to him PO". I did, we both laughed and he accepted the IV transfusion. I'll also remember her special sundae, chocolate ice cream with peanut butter globbed on top, then topped with heavy cream. Artery clogging yumminess. Subsequently, I kept up with Kathy through our mutual friend Kathy Kelly.

Kathy was one of the most amazing diagnosticians I ever met in several decades of Emergency Medicine. I had such respect for her. She will be missed.

It was a privilege to work with one of the brightest ER doctors I have ever met. The medical community has had a huge loss. You will always have a place in my heart.
