DAMON LOVELACE Obituary

DAMON PAUL LOVELACE
Born June 16, 1957, Mountain Lakes, NJ, Damon went to be with the Lord and his very special sister, Susan, on March 21, 2014. Surviving are his parents, Albert and Connie Lovelace of Haymarket, VA; beloved brother, John Wesley, wife, Stephanie and beautiful niece, Alexandra Susan of Haymarket, VA. Also surviving, his special aunt, Marna Switlick and husband, Steve of Jefferson, MD; cousin, Laura Cornwell, husband Scott, and "our little bit of heaven", two-year old Riley Elizabeth Cornwell of Marshall, VA. Damon was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Walter and Ruth Riley, paternal grandparents, John and Luella Lovelace, and his beloved sister, Susan, who lost her young life in a horseback riding accident in 1970. Damon loved sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, starting at the age of six. He was a walking baseball encyclopedia and loved Notre dame and Maryland football, basketball, and the Washington Redskins. He loved music, especially Sinatra and Bobby Darin. He had a great love for American history and was quite a history buff. Most of all, he loved his family, golf trips, and family gatherings. Even as he remained in poor health the last two years of his life, Damon never lost his great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and family. A private family celebration of Damon's life will held in the near future. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the ASPCA.
