When this happens there is no sense of time and space (me speechless) for the first time. I believe the relationship with the person will dictate the destiny.. a humbling experience for sure. Happiness is what he brought to me, I continue strive for it without him. It was a love like this/ like his, that defines me and keeps me going, being strong.

While three years has passed for me it still seems like the day or yesterday whichever is closes to the hour, it has not gone. My life in an instance was changed forever... Knowingly though, I too was touched by a real man that was my blessing from God. To know and experience true love as we/all see and hope for, but that which few ever find. True Love, not afraid to say, and say so graciously, humbly.

Yes my love, I know who you are was, were, the loyalty, trust, unconditional kindness, a gentle man in every way... a good man and strong man..be assured there are many men... but not to many like him.

For all who knew him loved him you know what I mean. While I was the fortunate, the one to be blessed with his entire spirit. I am most sad that the love of my life, my heart, my spirit.. and soul, not withstanding the almighty... has left a void in my life; a hurt that will soften, a heart forever broken; mending but never to be the same.

I struggle everyday and pray hard for strength to continue. Some days are better than others... so pray for me my continued understanding. I thank God for the solace and blessings as he has been good.

At this instance however, I finally am now able to speak, make sense, reference and with candidness.. I do know he is always with me, and in spite of the woes, I do know I was blessed with one of Gods true earthly angels; with a kindred spirit. That was "CL". To know him was to like or love him. In this this moment I light this candle as a symbol professing my forever love.......no end>>to be continued.

Love His Wife..Still and Forever.

Rhonda D.

Thanks to all that reached out...

To the Duncan Family, I know you all personally and have spent many days with your family. A very loving and wonderful family. Thank you all for the kindness and love you shared with me in your home. Your loving Mom and Dad opened their doors to me (Angie) and Cheryl. We were new to Washington, DC and had just met Clyde Jr., in Virginia where he lived. It was so surprising to find out a couple of months later my aunt, Pamela Parham taught him biology in high school in Maryland. I have so many fond wishes and memories I will cherish forever in my heart with Clyde Jr. and your family. I send my love and many prayers.

Sincere condolences to Rhonda and Clyde's family at this difficult time. Thoughts of you are in my heart.

I just wanted to share my memory of Clyde. I'm a musician, a bass player. I was in a band with Clyde and Rhonda in the early 90's. In addition to being a really nice, sweet guy, Clyde was far and away the best drummer I've ever played with. I became a much better musician just working to keep up with him. The band sounded so much better with Clyde in it!

To my Duncan family -- God reigns supreme in all things. Even in your most sorrowful hours He will carry you. Believe. My childhood friend, I now have few memories when we first played together over 50 years ago but I will cherish them forever. I know that you now rest in the eternal peace of Christ. To Rhonda and Duncan family

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18

The family will be in our prayers during this time.
