I just learned of "Uncle Ray's" passing this week from a fellow firefighter friend of the MCFD. I will always remember his joyful demeanor, his gigantic hugs and laughs and my thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Jackie, Keith, John and Melanie. Your family will always be special to me!

Wishing hugs and comfort to you, Jackie, Keith, John and Melanie at this difficult time. May you and the rest of the family find peace in the days ahead and know that he is in Heaven building another Wake drive with those who have gone before. What beautiful memories you and all of us will have as the days move forward. Don't ever let those go. To him I am sure he is hearing the words from Matthew 25:23 "Well done good and faithful servant". God bless you all.

Ray was a shining example of a good neighbor! He was always a friendly face in the neighborhood and would not hesitate to help anyone in need. His cheerful, positive demeanor made him a joy to chat with! We missed him terribly when he moved away from Wake Drive in Kensington!
We pray for comfort for his family.

Ray was such a joyful soul. All the Meyers boys (Ben, Noah, Zach) have such great memories of "Ray the Fireman" across the street who was the first put up amazing holiday decorations that would light up their rooms, the first to whip out the snowblower and clear the whole street! The first to lend a hand or a tool and the first one to pet an old dog. The best neighbor and greatest guy ever. Sincere condolences to the whole family and know that Ray touched our boys lives in the best way with kindness and happiness forever. The Meyers Family

Ray, the fireman with the black droopy mustache, who always had a smile and a huge heart. What you did to help my family when my dad passed and after will never be forgotten. Am sorry we could not be there, but you are in our thoughts. Always. Farewell friend.

Jacque and family,
So sorry to hear of Ray's passing. We had some really good times when he was doing security at Cap College and I had my two hour lab sessions. Great guy, great personality, in spite of his ongoing illness and pain. Even though I hadn't seen him in 11 yrs, I thought of often him with great fondness. Ray, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Although I have not seen Ray since moving to SC in 1994, Ray was always in my thoughts. I worked with Ray more many years at RVFD and I still remember his constant smile and energy. He was a very caring person and never failed to assist his fellow firefighters and support new employees.
Ray, you will always be in my thoughts. God bless you and your family.
