RODNEY BRIGHT
On Saturday, June 6, 2015 Rodney Bright of Fort Washington, MD died peacefully in his sleep at his home. Beloved husband of Frankie McNeil Bright and father of Tonitia Langley (George) and Shantae Streeter (Benjamin); grandfather of Tashay, James, JR, and Ashama Langley and Aisja and Christain Streeter. He is also survived by two sisters, Roberta Johnson (Clayton) and Ernestine Rodgers (McArthur); and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. at Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church, 3000 Pennsylvania Ave. SE, Washington, DC 20020. Gravesite Services on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Ayden, N.C. Arrangements by Strickland Funeral Services.www.stricklandfuneralservices.com

Dear Frankie and Family,
I was deeply saddened and surprised to learn of Rodney's passing. Please accept my condolence and heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin and friend. Rod was an amazing individual who was full of life. (...And boy was he so hilarious) He loved people and was a true, friend, confidant and the best colleague one could ever have. I will truly miss my friend and former colleague.
May the fond memories that you have of Rodney dwell within your hearts forever. I stand willing to help in any way that I can. I offer my prayers, thoughts of peace, courage, and comfort. May God walk with you and His angles surround.
