RALPH PATTEN Obituary

RALPH F. PATTEN, JR.
Passed away on October 2, 2015 at the age of 66 with his wife and children by his side. Survived by his loving wife, Maureen Corey Patten of 42 years; daughters Kathleen McFalls (Andrew), Kristina Wisemiller (David) and Kimberly Patten; grandchildren Kelley, Keegan, Corey, David Jr. and Teddy; mother Gloria Patten; and siblings Christine Becker (Vincent), William Patten (Elizabeth), Michael Patten (Gail) and Mary Herrmann. He is met in heaven by his father, Dr. Ralph F. Patten, Sr., his father-in-law, Neil R. Corey Sr. and his granddaughter Maureen Erin McFalls. Ralph was a graduate of Gonzaga High School and Spring Hill College and worked in the Financial Services industry for 40+ years. A longtime member of Washington Golf & Country Club, Ralph loved horse racing, sports, his dogs, but most of all his family. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 10 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Arlington, VA at 11 a.m. A private family burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Ralph's name to: Fund a Cure for Pancreatic Cancer, 12 Kuhars Way, Newtown, PA 18940.

Maureen,
I fondly remember the road trip I took with you, Ralph, and my Dad from Mobile to Perry, FL to view the total eclipse of the sun in early March 1970 while we were all at SHC. Ralph was a fun frat brother and must have been a wonderful lifelong husband and companion. Very sorry for your loss.

A larger than life personality now rests comfortably in Heaven. To the immediate and extended family that he cherished so much, our heartfelt condolences to all of you. Maureen, Katie, Krisi and Kimberly - take comfort in the knowledge of how special it was to know and love him for so many years. By the way, he was pretty darn lucky to have all of you in his life too! I'll never forget how openly he accepted me into the family and how he had a knack for making us both feel like family.
