BARBARA KUNTZ Obituary
BARBARA LEE KUNTZ (Age 79)
Passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Prince William Hospital in Manassas, VA. Mrs. Kuntz was born in Princeton, Illinois on April 17, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Phillip and Hazel Kopp. Mrs. Kuntz married her husband, Arlen R. Kuntz of Strawn, Illinois on November 12, 1955. After moving to Virginia with her family, Mrs. Kuntz served as a budget analyst in the Pentagon for 15 years. She achieved a US Civil Service rank of GS-13 during her exceptional career. When she retired, she and her husband operated a home improvement and remodeling business in Springfield, Va. Survivors include three children, Scott A. Kuntz (Vicki) of Elk River, MN, Kari K. Smith (Tom) of Beckley, WV and Brian D. Kuntz (Dana) of Oak Hill, VA; grandchildren, Tara M. White, Amy N. Nolan, Eric M. Ferguson, Brittany M. Tutem, Stephanie M. Kuntz and Jacob A. Kuntz; and great-grandson, Ethan Shiloh White. Also a brother, Jack Kopp; and two sisters, Joann Tucker and Jeri Link. She was preceded in death by her husband and two infant twin daughters, Kathleen and Ann Marie Kuntz.A visitation will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home, 9902 Braddock Rd., Fairfax on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 1 p.m. until the start of the service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Kuntz's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Dear Barbara, It was a pleasure knowing you for the short time that I did. I miss seeing you at Brookdale eating in the dining room and joking with my dad. You were a great lady and I won't forget you. I know you are rejoicing in heaven after being reunited with your twin daughters and your husband. So sorry to hear about Barb, she was a great lady. Arlen was my dad's best friend. Loved visiting them it was entertaining. They were both quite the characters. Loved them both like family. RIP Barb, tell Arlen "Hi"
