ROBERT PEACOCK Obituary
Robert Samuel Peacock (Age 52)
Passed away on February 5, 2017, at his business, Classic Motors of DC, on Wisconsin Ave. Born at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD on October 23, 1964. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Kara Greenhouse Peacock; brother, James; sister, Yvonne and mother, Christine Thompson. After attending Magruder High School, he left Maryland to study in San Diego, CA. There he rekindled his love for classics sports cars of the 1950's, passed on by his father, Samuel George Peacock. Rob opened his first dealership with his brother, James in La Jolla, CA in 1984. Moving back to Maryland in 2004, he continued the business theme of classic car dealerships. Rob was well known in the community for his love of life, and his passion and knowledge of classic automobiles. A memorial service will be held at The Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 3630 Quesada St., NW, Washington DC, 20015 on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to the Montgomery County Humane Society, 601 S. I am in so much unbelief... you never realize how fragile life is until you lose someone your close to. We shared some quality times together and learned how to be better.. I don't understand. I feel so lucky to have brought the new year in with you and your family. That was a gift I will never forget. My heart is broken and I wish I could of done more but I didn't know the pain. How would one want to be remembered? As my wife came to me at the break of day yesterday to let me know Robbie had passed-the world just stopped for a moment. My mind went straight away to 1979-80 when a bunch of us knuckleheads were gunning to be the next Arnold training in "Peacock Gym" off Shady Grove Road. Carefree with a rock hard physique those were the days I spent with the kid who would become a man and live his life in and around his passion of Classic cars. Godspeed Robbie. My honor to have known Robbie and his family to whom we send our sincere and deep condolences.

Rob was the bass player in our band in San Diego. Also roommates at different times in the '80s & '90s. He was a great person, bringing humor and laughter to everyone in the room. He influenced each of us in one way or another. A true gentleman. Our condolences to the Peacock family.
