Moss Family,
I don´t know if you will see this, as it has been so long. I am a friend of Caroline´s from Virginia Women´s Chorus. I live in Northern Virginia now, and I´m driving around today, delivering flyers to some churches for an upcoming event. Saint Matthews was on my assigned list, and as it seemed familiar, I paused and looked up Caroline´s obituary and saw that, yes, this is the place where that lovely memorial service was held for your beautiful daughter and sister. I want you to know that when the women´s chorus ladies from our time at UVA are together, we still talk about Caroline, and we all loved her very much. She was always so amazing at welcoming new girls to the chorus and wanting to include everyone in everything. She left a lasting legacy.
In loving memory of your sister

I will remember Caroline from Girl Scout encampments, particularly the time she led the "orienteering" compass course at Camp Crowell. She warmly welcomed every unsure Brownie to the event with hugs and handshakes, taught them as much about the task as one could in the short time allowed, and ran the course with them. By ensuring the younger girls' success, she not only made them feel successful and confident but left them knowing they had a teacher who was also their friend.
Caroline changed the world for a few minutes for a lot of girls that day, and she never stopped befriending and teaching.

Without the kindness, warmth and enthusiasm of wonderful people such as Caroline, my memories of Dan's high school years would not be so rich. Caroline's sparkle will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to all who will miss her.
