Ronald Rosenow Obituary

Ronald L. Rosenow, 71, Wittenberg, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, under the care of AseraCare Hospice at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.

He was born Dec. 29, 1940, in the town of Morris, the son of the late Herbert and Frieda (Herzberg) Rosenow.

Ronald graduated from Bowler High School in 1958 and then farmed with his parents and brother. They operated the Evergreen Dairy, bottling and distributing milk to customers in nearby towns.

On Oct. 6, 1962, Ronald was united in marriage to Fay Seefeldt in Wittenberg. She survives.

Ron and Fay raised beef cattle and ostriches. He also worked at Up Country Manufacturing until recently. Ron was able to fix anything and was always ready to help when asked. Survivors include his wife, Fay Rosenow, Wittenberg; their daughter, Lori Hartleben, Wittenberg, and her children, Jordan (Ashley) Hartleben, Honolulu, and Cody Hartleben, Menominee, Wis.; their son, Kevin Rosenow, Wittenberg, and his children, Callie Rosenow (fiance, Brandon Hirsch), Weston, and Courtney Rosenow, Eau Claire. He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Donnamae Rosenow, Wittenberg; and a brother-in-law, Gary (Bernadine) Seefeldt, Antigo.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, LaVerne Rosenow.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Amy Meyer will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The Rose Still Grows Beyond The Wall

Near shady wall a rose once grew
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding its sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height
It came to a crevice in the wall,
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride
It followed the light through the crevice length
And unfolded itself on the other side
The light, the dew, the broadening view,
Were found the same as they were before
And it lost itself in beauties new
Breathing its fragrance more and more
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint or fall
Nay, let us faith and hope receive
The rose still grows beyond the wall
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore
Just as it did on the other side
Just as it will forever more.
