Ted Prior Obituary
Prior's manager, Neil Regina, said Prior died Sunday morning.
Prior had never missed a show before being diagnosed with cancer last fall. His streak of nearly 10,000 performances ended when he was forced to miss a New Year's Eve show.
His career path began at age 14, when at a party he picked up a cheap guitar he had no idea how to play and sang along to a record of "Stuck On You."
A friend yelled out, "Hey Ted, you sound just like Elvis!"
Prior soon began taking guitar lessons, grew out his hair and started learning every Elvis song he could.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family of our own South Jersey's Elvis....I have many fond memories of hearing Ted perform, especially at the parades in Ocean City. He brought alot of joy to peoples lives...one couldn't help but smile when Ted was singing and swaying! He will be greatly missed.

My deepest sympathy to Mr Priors family,,,,,,It's hard to lose a loved one in death ,The God of all comfort calls death "mankinds enemy ". In Psalms 90:10 The comfort that you will receive is from a God who cares and comforts you durning your time of distress .

In our home, Mr. Prior was fondly known as Telvis. He was one of the best and will be missed. We spent many a nights swaying in our blue suede shoes.
