Albert Swingle Obituary

Albert L. Swingle, age 56, of Cherry Ridge Twp., Wayne County, died Tuesday morning in the Emergency Room at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He was the husband of Mary (Jarusik) Swingle, Lake Ariel.

Born in Hamburg, New Jersey, son of the late friend "Bud" and Bertha (Savitz) Swingle, he lived for most of his life in Wayne County.

Albert owned and operated Swingle's Stock Farm for many years and also had worked as a carpenter for A.B. Chapman. He was a member and six year past president of the Southern Wayne Trail Rider's Assoc.

In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by a son, David P. Swingle, Sterling; two sisters Shirley Mowery, Analomink, Pa. and Linda Faye Predmore, Lake Ariel; two brothers David Lee Swingle, Ogdensburg, N.J.; and Kenneth Allen Swingle, Lake Ariel and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 16 in the Hen's Nest, 241 Lake Spangenberg Rd., Mt. Cobb. Rev. Nathan R. Gilpin Officiating. Interment will be in east Canaan Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Hen's Nest, Mt. Cobb.
