Rosa Bacher Obituary

Rosa Bacher, a doctor of optometry, died Saturday (Jan. 14, 2012) at the age of 83, in a Wheeling nursing home.

She is survived by four daughters, Rosanna (Henry "Bud") Voss of Quincy, Mary (Tom) Cardwell of Hanover Park, Elizabeth (Tom) Thompsen of Tipp City, Ohio, and Ellen Bacher of Cary and her two children; one son, Joseph (Teri) Bacher Jr. of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Sgt. David Cardwell (and his girlfriend Aryn Flesch), Barbara Cardwell, Christopher Cardwell (and his fiancée Jessica Davis), all of Hanover Park, Nathan Voss (and his girlfriend Teri Griggs and her daughter Jordan Griggs), Henry "Hank" Voss (and his fiancée Lauren Hartley), Rebecca Voss, all of Quincy, Erin Bacher (and her fiancé Cyle Murdoch) of Harrisburg, Katie Thompsen and Kristina Thompsen of Tipp City; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Angela Cardwell of Hanover Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Bacher; and two brothers, Anton and Siegfried Wieshuber.

SERVICES: 3 p.m. today in Addolorata Villa, 555 Old McHenry Road, Wheeling. Burial is scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Town of Maine Cemetery in Park Ridge.

VISITATION: one hour prior to the services today in the Addolorata Villa.

MEMORIALS: Alzheimer's Association, Mississippi Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America, or a charity of the donor's choice.
