Luellen Pryor Obituary

Luellen Anna Pryor, 96, formerly of 623 S. 18th St., died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday (June 14, 2011) in the Good Samaritan Home.

Luellen was born Sept. 23, 1914, in Clara City, Minn., a daughter of Henry and Emma Ehmen Gronewold. She married Lloyd Pryor on Dec. 30, 1936, in Lewistown, Ill. He died July 19, 2000.

She was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, ceramics and traveling.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Larry) Catlett of Camp Point, Lois (Floyd) Dailing of Quincy and Lynnette (Carl) Alberchinski of Quincy; two sons, Lee Pryor of Payson and Lloyd Pryor of Quincy; two sisters, Violet Hieland of Mendon and Carlene Shoop of Maywood, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Luellen was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Helen Smith; three brothers, Orville, Leo and Floyd Gronewold; and three grandchildren.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Steve Disseler. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery near Ursa.

VISISTATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

MEMORIALS: Good Samaritan Home's Harmony Meadows or Blessing Foundation for Hospice.

ARRANGEMENTS: Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
