Pearl Boyles Obituary

MENDON, Ill. -- Pearl L. (Runyen) Boyles, 80, of Mendon, formerly of Loraine, died 1:50 p.m. Thursday (May 12, 2011) in her home.

Pearl was born April 27, 1931, in Maroa to the late Clarence and Emmer (Feutz) Runyen. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing computer games and visiting with family and friends.

Pearl is survived by six daughters, Carolyn Burd of Lincoln, Neb., Renita Peters of Mendon, Debra Jenkins and companion, Chad Burgtorf, of Quincy, Susan Baird of Quincy, Tracy Kendrick of Mendon and Tena Barry and her husband, Monte, of Ursa; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Runyen and his wife, Viola, of Decatur and Charles Runyen and his wife, Judy, of Oreana; and one sister, Deloris Ensminger of Mendon.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Chad; three brothers; and two sisters.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday in the Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon. Burial will be in the New Loraine Cemetery in Loraine.

VISITATION: From 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: American Cancer Society or Blessing Foundation for Hospice.

ARRANGEMENTS: Hunter Funeral Home, Mendon.

Mother will always be in our hearts. She was not only a Mother, but a best friend to all of her six "Pearl's Girls". We love and miss you Mom and know that you will be waiting when we meet again at the big Runyen reunion in heaven.
