Boyd Alan Bradley

ARBELA, Mo. -- Boyd Alan Bradley, 78, of Arbela, died at 6:10 a.m. Monday (May 2, 2011) in Scotland County Hospital in Memphis, Mo.

He was born on Jan. 23, 1933, in Bible Grove to George Loris and Zella Riebel Bradley. He married Judy Noble on Oct. 13, 1962, in Etna.

Boyd graduated from Bible Grove School and received a scholarship to attend the Kirksville Teachers College in Kirksville. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War as a medic. Upon returning from the war, he owned and operated the MFA stations in Memphis and Kahoka.

His true passion was his dairy farm in which he and Judy supplied Grade A milk to Prairie Farms Dairy for more than 20 years, earning many awards.

Remaining to cherish his memory is his wife, Judy; one son, Kevin Bradley, and his wife, Jeri, of Centerville, Iowa; a granddaughter, Kaitlin Bradley of Quincy, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Glendora Bradley, of Kahoka, and Joyce Harvey and her husband, Joe Eddie, of Memphis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Derril Bradley and Richard Bradley; and aunts, uncles and friends.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday in the Memphis Funeral Home, with John Gorham conducting. Burial will follow in the Memphis Cemetery.

VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Memphis Funeral Home.
