EDINA, Mo. -- Mary Margaret Schrage, 78, of Edina died Friday (June 3, 2011) in Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville.
She was born Oct. 3, 1932, in Edina, a daughter of Albert Ross and Letetia Irene Hayes Pinson.
She was united in marriage to Eugene Buster Schrage and to this union three children were born, Kathy McMahon (and husband Dennis) of Edina, Mike Schrage (and wife Terry) of Edina and Darrell Schrage (and Joyce Burns) of Staten Island, N.Y.
Mary lived most all of her life in Knox County, where she graduated from Edina High School. She was employed at Burnham Glove Factory in Edina for several years. Mary has resided at the Knox County Nursing Home since 1983, and enjoyed all activities there. She was a member of the Hurdland Baptist Church. She enjoyed riding horses, the St. Louis Cardinals and spending time with her family and friends.
Also surviving are one sister, Joyce Cunningham, and husband Fred, of Philadelphia; one brother, Jim Pinson, and wife Marsha, of Novelty; 10 grandchildren, Sean Arndt and wife Denise, Scotty Arndt, Marcie Stansberry and husband Matthew, Katie McMahon, Daniel McMahon, Lance McMahon, Buster Ray Schrage and wife Rhonda, Becky Barnhill and husband Jason, Barry Schrage and Stephen Schrage; five great-grandchildren, Lena and Jax Arndt, Georgia Mae Arndt, Keaton and Skylar Schrage; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Doris Peterson.
SERVICES: 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, Edina, by the Rev. Robert Shobe. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery, Edina.
Music will be provided by Ira Moots, soloist, and Carol Hayes, organist. Musical selections will be "The Great Speckled Bird," "How Great Thou Art" and "Sweet Bye and Bye."
Casket bearers will be her grandsons, Sean Arndt, Scotty Arndt, Daniel McMahon, Lance McMahon, Buster Ray Schrage, Barry Schrage and Stephen Schrage. Honorary bearers will be Becky Barnhill, Marcie Stansberry, Katie McMahon, Lena Arndt, Jax Arndt, Georgia Mae Arndt, Keaton Schrage and Skylar Schrage.
VISITATION: After 9 a.m. Tuesday, with family present from 11 a.m. till services at 1 p.m., in the funeral home.
