Dwight Eugene Bert
89, of Upland, died June 11, 2012 at home in Upland, California. He was born on January 24, 1923 in Upland, California and lived in Upland for 89 years.
He was self employed and was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church and the Lions Club. He was a veteran of the US Army during World War II.
His interest were serving church and community. His hobbies include water sports, water skiing, scuba diving and cruising the California costal areas.
He is survived by his wife Evelyn Faye Bert, 2 sons Theodore Eugene Bert (Suzi) and Joseph Foreman Bert (Cindy), Foster daughter Raquel Tuazon (Antonio). Grandchildren Dwight Richard Bert, Lee Tuazon, Analee Olufson (Brian), Ryan McKee (Lori) and 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ada Franklin and Joseph Bert, step mother Jane Plum Bert and 2 brothers Nathon Theodore and Eldon Bert.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 25th at the Solid Ground Brethren in Christ Church, Alta Loma at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to San Antonio Community Hospital, 999 E. San Bernardino Rd, Upland Ca 91786 or VNA support services 150 W. 1st St. Ste 176, Claremont, CA 91711 in Memory of Dwight Bert.
