Eileen Dunbrack Obituary

Eileen L. (Coffey) Dunbrack, 77, of Concord died Wednesday Nov. 5, 2014 at her Concord home. She was the beloved wife of 56 years of Richard H. Dunbrack. Born in Concord on November 17, 1936 she was the sixth of eight children of Albert M. and Elizabeth (O'Brien) Coffey. She attended Concord schools, Concord High School and was a 1955 graduate of the former Academy of the Assumption in Wellesley. She received an Associate's degree in 1957 from the former Cardinal Cushing College in Brookline. She was married to Mr. Dunbrack in 1958 at St. Bernard's Church in Concord. Mrs. Dunbrack was active in many of her children's activities in Concord, including serving as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and as a Head room parent at Harvey Wheeler and Thoreau Schools. She retired from Concord-Carlisle High School in 2008 after thirty years of employment as Departmental Administrative Assistant in the school's Science Department. She had previously worked in the same capacity at Willard and Peabody Schools in Concord. A lover of animals, she enjoyed playing piano, cooking, and the Boston Pops. She also enjoyed traveling, especially her three trips to Ireland and the British Isles. In her later years her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Dunbrack was very proud of her Concord roots and of her Irish ancestry. She was the devoted mother of Lin Dunbrack of Boulder, CO, Richard M. Dunbrack of Martha's Vineyard, Tim Dunbrack and his wife Tracey of Maitland, FL and Eileen D. Boynton and her husband Joseph of Wrentham and mother-in-law of the late Roger H.
