Joseph Pearce Obituary

Joseph E. Pearce of Hanover, died suddenly in his sleep on June 6, 2015. He was 66 years of age. Joe was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served as a Green Beret. Joe's quiet strength, strong character, and benevolent nature will be missed by all who loved him. His greatest joy in life was to be surrounded by friends and family on a warm summer day at his pool. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Dolores Pearce of Philadelphia, Pa., and sister, Dolores Domenick of Philadelphia, Pa. He was the loving brother of Harry and Rosemary, Jean and Ray, Edward and Betty, John and Beth, and Helene and Jim. Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Rose Marie (Kopitsky); his children, Joseph E. Pearce Jr. and his wife Heather of Sandwich, Robert J. Pearce and his wife Stephanie of Norwell, Nicole M. Cox and her husband Ryan of Hingham and Michael J. Pearce of Hanover; adoring Pops to his nine grandchildren, Nathan, Mia, Hannah, Emma, Nicholas, William, Charlie, Flynn and Bode. Visiting hours are Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St., Rte. 53, in Hanover, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte. 139, in Hanover, at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the US Department of Veterans Affairs and American Cancer Society. My heart was heavy for you and your beautiful family when I heard about Joe. I am so sorry for your loss. I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially family and his friends which I will remember brought him so much joy! I couldn't be up there for the service but know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your whole family.
