Robert D. McCormick, Sr. Of Falmouth formerly of Needham, Septem- ber 21, 2016. Beloved husband of 60 years to Mildred M. (Reddish) McCormick. Devoted father of Karen McCormick of Washington D.C., Stephen McCormick and his wife Colleen of Medfield, Brian McCormick and his wife Malgorzata of Holliston, Robert D. McCormick Jr. and his wife Maura of Falmouth, and Paul McCormick of Needham. Grandfather of Mark, Patrick, Michael, Kasia, Erin, Kimberly, and Brian. Bob was a manager for N.E. Telephone for 38 years and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was Past President of the Needham Exchange Club and Past President and current Dock Master of the Old Stone Dock Association of Falmouth. Korean Conflict Veteran, United States Marine Corps. His funeral was held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham, Monday, Sept. 26 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Needham at 10am. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours at the funeral home were on Sunday, Sept. 25 from 2-6pm. To the McCormick family. I'm so often reminded of Bob, and his steady unwavering faith and his love for his family. He and I share a bond as Marines and when we were together memories of the old days always surfaced. Bob was one of those people you meet in your life's journey that for many reasons, impacts you, and for his impact on me I'm forever grateful.

First of all, I would like to express my condolences of the great loss of your father and grandfather.

I remember meeting Bob McCormick on Fair Oaks Park St in Needham, MA in 1987. I recalled him as a very delightful man. I addressed him as Mr. McCormick and he in turn addressed me as Mr. Peters, and all I did was graduate with Brian...lol
