Beatrice Maloney Obituary

Beatrice Rose Daniels Maloney passed away at Riverterrace Health Care, Lancaster, Mass, on Nov 7th. She celebrated her 101 burthday in September. Mrs. Maloney was born in Boscawen, N.H. and moved to Fitchburg as a young child. In her teens and twenties, she was an accomplished gymnast with the American Turners and competed in tournaments throughout the New England and New York area. She was the devoted wife of the late Patrick J. Maloney Jr. for 50 years. She was the loving mother of Diane M. Dunbar and husband Robert of Scituate, Mass. and Patricia Doucette and husband Richard of Ashby. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren including Michael Dunbar and wife Susan of N. Attleboro, Caroline Dunbar Tracy and husband Peter of Lakeville, and Suzanne Dunbar Fennelly and husband Daniel of Scituate She was the cherished great-grandmother of ten great grand children. She is also suvived by sisters Alberta McWillimas of Leominster and Dorothy Manceau of Townsend and was Auntie Bebe to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Smith-Mullahey Funeral Home in Fitchburg, with Mass at St. Camillus Church, also in Fitchburg, on Sat. Nov. 12.
