TONEY MAHON SR.

RAGLAND, W.Va. — Toney Lee Mahon Sr., 66, of Ragland, went home to be with the Lord Friday, September 30, 2016 while a patient at the St. Mary's Hospital.

Toney was the son of the late Greenway and Georgia Duty Mahon. He was also preceded in death by a son, Toney Lee Mahon Jr.; brothers: Luther "Bootsie" Mahon, and Jackie Mahon, and sister, Maxine Mahon Varney.

Toney was a retired coal miner of more than 22 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Those left behind to cherish his memories include his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann Spence Mahon; daughter, Connie Lynn Mahon of Delbarton; son, Jack and wife Tracy Mahon of Ragland; brothers: Teddy Mahon of Ragland, and Holland and wife Phyllis, Paul and David, all of North Carolina; brother-in-law: Clayburn Varney, and sister-in-law, Jewell Mahon; grandchildren whom he dearly loved: Tristan Mahon, Tera and Ryan Evans; and two great-grandchildren: Selena and Summer. He also leaves behind a host of friends and family who dearly loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 4, at Chafin Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Eddie Layne and Bro. Timmy Layne officiating. Burial will follow in Mahon Cemetery at Beech Creek, W.Va.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday, October 3, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be friends and family.
