William Fields Obituary

William M. "Bill" Fields, 70, of 2545 E. SR 28 North Winchester, passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at 11:22 a.m. in the company of family members, at IU Ball Memorial, Muncie.
William was born July 18, 1941 in Winchester to the late Nora Frances (Vincent) and Albert Wesley Fields. He attended Praise Chapel Church of God, Union City, Ind. He worked as a farmer, auctioneer and seed salesman being self-employed at Brodbecks Seeds.
Bill loved his horses, donkeys and miniature ponies. He was a member of the National Draft Horse Association and The Indiana Auctioneer Association. He enjoyed helping friends and family and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Ruth G. (Arnold) Fields; a daughter, Cathy Fields, of Winchester; a son, Curtis M. Fields, of Muncie; and a sister, Donna Jo Fields, of Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Naomi Lare.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Praise Chapel Church of God, Union City, Ind., with Pastors Bill Bradley and Steve Hildebrand officiating. Burial is at Wiemer Cemetery, Ridgeville.
Visitation is 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at MJS Mortuaries Ridgeville Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Praise Chapel Church of God, Union City, Ind.,4527 E. 1000 N., Union City, IN. Randolph County 47390.
