Helen Goers Obituary

Helen Joyce (Patterson) Goers, 78, of Union City, passed away Friday July 15, 2016 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville, Ohio.
She was born October 10, 1937 in Union City, Ind., to the late John Paul and Oga Skidmore Patterson. Helen worked at the Dairy Barn in Altamote, Ill., for 20 years and was a short order cook. She also enjoyed reading books, Facebook and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
Survivors include her children, Susan (Tim) Hammond of Dayton, Ohio, Brad Goers of Altamote, Ill., Brent (Julie) Goers of Mauston, Wisc., and Tom Goers of Greenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Amanda (Brian) Walsh, Emily (Steven) Stanfield, Casey Goers and Jerik Goers; a great granddaughter, Kayleigh Stanfield; and a brother, Francis (Peggy) Patterson of Union City, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ann Margaret Swabb; and a brother, John Goers.
Services are 7 p.m. Wednesday at Reichard Funeral Home, 400 W. Deerfield Rd., Union City, Ind. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.reichardfh.com.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Help Center with envelopes available at the funeral home.
