Pat,
I am shocked to hear of Richard's sudden passing! My condolences to you and your family. From our days as Branch managers to recent less stressful times I very much enjoyed our too few conversations. A true gentleman and inspiration.

Pat, Paul, Sonya and Family,
Sympathies to all on the sudden passing of Richard. What lives with all of us forever is our memories of all the good times we experienced together and the mentoring that we can pass onto future generations.

I did not know Richard. I must however comment on the bravery that it must have taken to write his own obituary. It was well written and summed up a very full life!

To Pat and Family.
Vince and I extend our heartfelt condolences. We shall always remember Richard with clip board and pen in hand as he presented his neighbours on Ford with yet another petition for the betterment of our street. His smile and gentle manner meant no one could refuse him. Our beautiful street is a better place for Richard having cared so deeply and been a part of it for so many years.
Sincerely, Patricia and Vincent Bassman.

Mere words do not do justice in describing Richard but an attempt must be made. Richard was a great neighbour:friendly, always smiling, very active and a joy to be around. He has been taken from all of us much too soon and so suddenly.
Richard's achievements are well known but none compare to the legacy that he has left as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many. Our heartfelt condolences go to his wife Pat, son Paul, daughter Sonya and their respective spouses and his grandchildren,

Dearest Richard,
I have never met a more humble and kind man. Working for you was a joy! Your sweet smile and sense of humor was always enjoyed. I will always remember your 25 cent bets but I would never dare bet against you for it was a sure loss on anyone's part. Thank you for teaching me so much and to always remain positive. You truly were contagious! Miss you lots...

Dear Pat
We are so very sorry to learn of your loss but know you will be surrounded with support from family and many friends.
We enjoyed "playing" with Richard the few times we met him.
He will be sadly missed.
