Ben and Abby and Family,
Dave's death is such a shock and I am so sorry for your loss. I remember him as a loving dad, and can imagine his delight at seeing his two grandsons. My memory of Dave goes back to when we played a marathon of card games (500) at the Fagan household, with "shouts" of laughter all around. It was always fun when Dave was there. Joe and I believe his spirit lives on, and we reach for some consolation in the words of John Chrysostom: Those whom we love and lose are no longer where they were before. They are now wherever we are. My love and prayers.

Ben and Abby,

It was a joy to know your Dad. He brought energy to every occasion. I remember the many times we talked baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins.

It was always fun to gather with you and your parents at the home of Francis and Florence. We'll always remember that.

I fondly remember the time when your Dad looked me up for a visit in Waterloo when he was a reporter for the Dubuque Telegraph Herald. I appreciated that.

Ben and Abby, God bless your Dad and all your loved ones.

Your uncle, Joe Fagan

David, I will miss the great times we had watching movies, super bowls, academy awards, etc. at your place. You were a really great guy. And I will never forget going to Water World with you at the Carmike... that is a memory I shall never forget.
