Ruby, Cynthia, and Ken,
I am sorry that I didn't know earlier of Buck's passing. I found out only yesterday. From my own experience, I think that I know much of what you're feeling. He will be missed. Ken, I especially understand your loss. A dad and his son have a unique relationship.
When I think of your family, I think of your naturally smiling faces. And, Buck's smile was notable among them. How could we ever forget his smiling eyes? And, to know that we'll see them smiling even more brightly the next time we see him is enough to help us to go on from here. Imagine the expression on his face now! "Smile" wouldn't even be a fit word to describe it, would it?

Dear Daddy,
You are finally at peace. No more suffering, no gasping for breath, and no more pain. You were the greatest dad and my best buddy! I will miss you so much - but Daddy we will be together again soon. Just wait inside the gate for me - thank you daddy for everything you did for me and raising me in the way you did! I cannot put into words what you have meant to me - see you again daddy!
Love,
Cynthia

Mr. Canter was one of the sweetest men I ever met. I met him when I worked at Regal Oldsmobile/Regal Ford. He always brought us girls in the office some of the most delicious fruit and was always all smiles. May your memories bring you smiles and may God grant you peace.

Ken and family, It was so good to see you today at the chapel. I will miss hearing Buck start our conversations with his familiar, "Hey Bink" whenever we crossed paths. No more pain and so much gained as Buck is walking and talking with Jesus right now. You are all in our prayers.

Hey Pawpaw, I knew you liked me from the first time we met...you tapped me on the leg and in that gruff voice said, "Hey boy!" You always treated me like family and I won't forget it....kept me full of Tootsie Rolls and jelly beans. Don't worry about your grand daughter, I'll take care of her. We'll miss you, but certainly we know you are much better off. It was an honor and a pleasure to have known you.
