Larry, Celia, Andrew and Dayton,
Words can't express the sorrow I feel at the loss of such a beautifully sweet person. Most of my high school years and even a few after was spent with Amanda. She was my other sister! Weekends of Grease and Dirty Dancing Marathons! My birthday party at your house where we had the candle catch fire, the trip we took to the place where Dirty Dancing was filmed...so many great memories of my time with her and your fmaily have filled my mind over the last week.I would not be the person I am today without my Amanda there during my teen years helping guide me to make better decisions. And even in her death, I have been able to see that there are things I need to change in my life so that I can see Amanda and Brogan again in Heaven. She was my best friend, and even after years went by we were able to meet up in August and it was like no time had passed. I find comfort knowing she is in heaven praising God and holding onto Brogan, watching over Dayton,Conner, Duncan and Arwen until we can all see her and Brogan again. Know I am praying and thinking of you all.
~With love, Holli Mayfield

Dear Jarvis/Morehead family: I can only imagine the pain you must be suffering and I pray good memories and time passing with the Lord's help will ease your pain. Amanda and my daughter Grace were great buddies when they both attended Salem Baptist youth group. I have many fond memories of their giggles and laughter to and from church. What a wonderful Christian friend and influence she was for all of us. The Carters - Powhatan, VA

for one who gives so much to others

for one who gives so much to others
its not the things that can be
bought that are lifes richest
treasurer,its just the little
heart gifts that money cannot
measure....a cheerful smile
a friendly word,a sympathetic
nod are priceless little
treasures from the store
house of god...they are the
things that cant be bought
with silver or with gold
for thoughtfuliness and
kundness and love are never
sold.....they are the priceless
things in life for which
no one can pay,and the giver
finds rich recompense in
giving them away.and who on earth
gives more away and does more
good for others than understanding
kind and wise and selfless,
loving mothers who ask no more
than just the joy of helping
those they love to find
in life the happiness
that they are dreaming of.
