Andy Kulchar Obituary

Kulchar Andy Kulchar IV, age 61, of Tazewell, Va., died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at his home. Born Sept. 20, 1950, at Warriormine, W.Va., he was a son of Viola Kathleen Nelson Kulchar of Tazewell and the late Andy Kulchar Jr. He was owner and operator of Kulchar Junk Yard and Wrecker Service in Tazewell. Andy was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Korea during the Vietnam War. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Newman Robert Stone and one sister, Ann Stone Price. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Gay Stinson Kulchar; daughters, Angie Kulchar of Tazewell, Michelle Addair and husband, Kevin, of Glade Spring, Va., Keshia Cole and husband, Scott, of Tazewell; step-daughter, Stephanie VanDyke of Pounding Mill, Va.; step-son, Joey VanDyke of Richmond, Va.; one sister, Margaret Moore and husband, Mike, of Tazewell; five grandchildren, Alexandria "Girlee" Dean, Tristan Dean, Hamilton Addair, Shaina Addair, and Channing Cole; nieces, Melanie Moore, Melissa Kroll, and Camille Beers; several other nieces and nephews; and his special pals, cats, Blackie and Grey Kitty. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell with the Rev. Kenny Fields, Lee Blackburn, and the Rev. Lawrence Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. where graveside rites will be conducted by the Rev. Henry Johnson. Military graveside rites will be conducted by members of Barns Beavers VFW Post No. 7136 of Tazewell. Pallbearers will be Tristan Dean, Melvern Duncan, Kevin Addair, Alvin Rose, Scott Cole, and Jimmy Page. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Moore, Joey VanDyke, and Chester Hayes. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, 4899 Belfort Road, Ste. 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
