Betty S. Schivley Betty Frances Sparks Schivley, 74, of Ivanhoe died on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m. at the Reese Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Crockett and the Rev. Harold Coleman officiating. A graveside service will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Born Aug. 12, 1936, in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Addie Akers Sparks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Schivley; step-son, Russ Schivley; and brother, Pete Sparks. She attended Faith Tabernacle and was a member of the Printer's Union No. 508, Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Dorothy Schivley of Ivanhoe; one grandson, Braeden Schivley; two step-sons and spouses, Mark and Karen Schivley of Eastchester, N.Y., and Warren and Gerlinde Schivley of Waynesville, Mo.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Benny and Nancy Sparks of Ivanhoe and Robert and Janet Allred of Ivanhoe; and several nieces and nephews. Reese Funeral Home in Austinville is in charge of the arrangements.
