Debbie J. White Debbie Jean White, 44, of Independence died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at North Carolina Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. Funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Comers Rock with the Revs. Bill Shupe, Phil Qualls and Kevin Qualls officiating. Interment was in the Harrington Cemetery at Comers Rock. She was born May 13, 1966, at Independence. She was the manager of Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar in Wytheville. She is survived by her husband, Randy White of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sara and Carlos Ruiz of Independence, and Katherine White of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Miranda White of Independence; her parents, Lawrence and Mattie Tilley Cornett of Independence; two sisters, Rose Cornett of Galax and Sherry Clyburn of Independence; two brothers, Billy Cornett of Independence and Jimmy Tilley of Elkin, N.C.; and a granddaughter, Savannah White. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home in Independence was in charge of the arrangements.
