EDGAR DAVID DUNCAN FLOYD-Edgar David Duncan, 91, went to be with the Lord on October 6, 2010. He was born on May 3, 1919 in Floyd County to the late Enoch and Leona Duncan. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and five brothers. Left to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 58 years, Betty; daughters and husbands, Linda and John Sutherland and Judy and Jimmy Lester; son, Eugene Duncan, all of Floyd; twin sister, Esther Griffith of Christiansburg; brother, Marlie Duncan of Baltimore, Maryland; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Alpheus Atkins and Pastor Roy Turpin officiating. Interment followed in the White Rock Cemetery. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Maberry Funeral Home. Edgar was a big man with a big heart and he will be truly missed.
