Edna L. Fifer Edna Lineberry Fifer, 72, of Wytheville died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Speedwell United Methodist Church Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wiley and Sarah Sheets Lineberry; husband, Henry C. Fifer; a brother, Pete Lineberry; a sister, Elizabeth Hoback; a granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Kennedy; and a great-granddaughter, Kimberly Story. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rochella and Walter Kennedy, Joyce and Forrest Whitney, all of Wytheville; two sons, David Fifer of Wytheville, Robert Fifer and Teresa Martin of Bedford; two sisters, Martha Tate and Mary Lineberry, both of Wytheville; a brother, Robert Lineberry of Rural Retreat; special niece, Frances Umberger of Wytheville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 6, from noon until 2 p.m. (service time) at the funeral home. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
