Spangler family, When I was growing up at home, I looked forward to Saturday mornings because I knew Irene was coming to get her hair done and that she would be bringing me and my brothers Cracker Jacks or some other candy from the store. I will always have found memories of her. She never slowed down! She was a wonderful woman and I am truly sorry for your loss.

G.C., Rhonda, and Ashley: We are so very sorry to learn of Ms. Irene's passing. We enjoyed seeing her at BCBC and will surely miss her sweet smile wherever we saw her. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you during this difficult time.

How true are the words in Irene's obituary about her smile! When my husband and I were dating, the "place to go" in our area for a Pepsi and hamburger was Tuggles Gap Restaurant. This was more than 50 years ago when her father operated the restaurant. Even then, Irene wore that cheerful beautiful smile. My sympathy to all who will miss her.
