Ella J. Wheeler Ella Jane Wheeler, 59, of Rural Retreat died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at her residence. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. at All Nations Church of God with Pastor Chad Dunford officiating. Interment will be in West End Cemetery. She was born Oct. 7, 1950, in Wythe County, daughter of the late Bernard and Virginia Russell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, William Perry Wheeler Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Russell of Wytheville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Brian Wheeler, Patrick and Zoe Wheeler, all of Rural Retreat, Bobby and Michelle Bullion of Radford and Tony Swinson of Commerce, Ga.; and six grandchildren, Tameka Dickinson, David Dickinson, J'lyn Wheeler, Chance Wheeler, Austin Bullion and Maxwell Bullion. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 600 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, VA 24382; or All Nations Church of God Ministries, 1020 Stafford Umberger Drive, Wytheville, VA 24382. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
