Helen Lyons Corvin

Corvin Helen Lyons Corvin, 73, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Smyth County Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Lyons; her second husband, James Martin Corvin; and a son, Dewey Leon Lyons. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Lyons Hawthorne of Rural Retreat and Ella Lyons Wingate and husband, Chris, of Sugar Grove; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond S. Lyons Jr. and Vanessa of Sugar Grove; one stepdaughter, Sheri Morin of Ogden, Utah; one stepson, Jimmy Corvin of Ogden, Utah; one brother-in-law, Homer Corvin of California; one sister-in-law, Reba Kirby of Speedwell; five grandchildren, Ashley Lynn Hall, Sheri Ann Heldreth, Crystal Ann Lyons, Tifani Doane and Dustin Stamper; 10 great-grandchildren, Nova Leigh-Ann Heldreth, Kylie Paige Romans, Bly Stillwell, Silas Lyons, Ivy-Lee Heldreth, Andrew Silas Hall, Gage Stamper, Liam Stamper, Serenity Murphy and Eli Taylor; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Nov. 18, at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Roger Crigger officiating. Private burial was conducted Friday in Wassum Cemetery.
