Jennifer Gay Buchanan

Buchanan Jennifer Gay Buchanan, 35, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at her home. She was born Jan. 17, 1975, in Mercer County, W.Va., to Betty Atkins of Falls Mills and David Buchanan of Bluefield, W.Va. She graduated from Montcalm High School. Survivors include her son, Michael Buchanan, and her life companion of 16 years, Joey Steele, both of the home; five sisters, Rebecca Mills and husband, Steven, of Sophia, W.Va., Cathy Kelley of Union, W.Va., Shirley Burkett and husband, Mike, of Princeton, W.Va., Amanda McPherson of Goochland, and Regina Sebera of Petersburg; one brother, Robert Buchanan of Bluefield, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Family received friends Friday, Dec. 10, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel in Marion. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 11, at 2 p.m. in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Princeton, W.Va. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
