Jerry M. Armbrister Jerry Michael Armbrister, 69, of Wytheville died Monday, Sept. 12, 2010. Funeral service was held Thursday, Sept. 17, at 2 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Ridenhour and Vicar Jason Felici officiating. Interment was in West End Cemetery. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for many years where he served on the property committee. He was an employee of Embarq Telephone Co. for 40 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Louise Armbrister Worrell. Survivors include his wife, Norma Frost Armbrister of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Michael Jr. and Christi Armbrister of Mary Esther, Fla., William Craig and Karla Armbrister of Wytheville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sheri and Desi Harmon of Las Vegas, Nev., Lori and Trever Lane of Maryville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Cody Harmon and Lacey Harmon, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Tyler Armbrister of Mary Esther, Fla., and Chloe Armbrister of Wytheville; two half sisters and their husbands, Sue W. and Garnett Gilbert of Claremont, Sharon W. and Mike Wilson of Lyman, N.C.; three half brothers and their wives, Theron L. "Jay" and Donna V. Worrell, Kenneth W. and Cindy C. Worrell, all of Max Meadows, and William E. "Billy" and Pat D. Worrell of Asheville, N.C.; father-in-law, William R. "Bill" Frost of Wytheville; and aunt, Lillian Corvin of Wytheville. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for property needs, 405 W. Main St., Wytheville, VA 24382. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.

Frosty, Although Jerry and I didn't see much of each other as adults,we were practically raised together. I have many fond memories of that time.Mama and especially daddy were crazy about Jerry.I know you will greatly miss him. Our prayers are with you and the kids.

Frosty, Although Jerry and I didn't see each other very often after we were adults, we were practically raised together. I have many fond memories of those times.
