Jerry W. Harden Jerry Wayne Harden, 56, of Independence died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010. A memorial service was held Thursday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. G.T. Monday officiating. He was born Nov. 11, 1953, in Wythe County, son of the late Charles R. and Frances Stowers Harden. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger D. Harden; a sister, Linda J. Corvin; a niece, Heather Lynn Corvin; and a nephew, Robert Bradley Corvin. Survivors include a brother, Charles E. "Eddie" Harden of Crockett; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Hal Monday of Wytheville; and several nieces and nephews. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
