Patrick Linda Louise Patrick, 58, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville surrounded by her family. She was born in Smyth County to the late George and Edna Whitt Patrick and was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Patrick. She was a member of The Church of God on Friendly Circle in Marion, where she was loved by all the church members. She worked at Buster Brown and Smyth County Community Hospital and will always be remembered as a person with a heart of gold who loved to take care of people. She was a loving sister, sister-in-law and servant of God. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Ginger McMahan and husband, Ralph, of Chilhowie; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky Patrick Sr. and wife, Betty, of Atkins; nieces and nephews who considered her their "Nana at Heart," Lindsay McMahan, Ashleigh McMahan, Cody McMahan, Shawn Patrick, and Ricky Patrick Jr. and wife, Tassy; great-nephew and -niece, Kevin Patrick and Kaylee Patrick; several loving aunts, including two very special aunts, Mary Geneva Brown of Marion and Mary Caroline Ratliff of Chilhowie; a cousin she thought of as Sissy, Cindy Brewer of Marion; several loving family members and friends; and her church family and co-workers at Smyth County Community Hospital Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Brother Shawn Womack and Brother Jerry Anders officiating. Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family received friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion was in charge of arrangements.
