Loraine D. Grubb B. Loraine Davis Grubb, 76, of Wytheville died Saturday, June 25, 2011. Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 28, at 1 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Edward Richardson officiating. Interment was in West End Cemetery. She was born March 27, 1935, in Wythe County, daughter of the late Walker "Preach" and Minnie Rogers Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Grubb; and three sons, Bobby Davis, Eugene Davis and Richard Brewer. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Tim Hills of Wytheville, Kathy and Allan West, and Joann and Ray Ring, all of Rural Retreat; three sisters, Audrey Hagee of Salem, Aileen Combs of Christiansburg and Gay Ann Oliver of Elliston; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Davis, Valerie Hills, Crystal Webb, Amanda Cameron, Teri Hills, Clifton Davis and Jill Davis; five great-grandchildren, Joseph, Sophia, Mahailey, Cody and Alexis; several nieces and nephews; and adoptive family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc., 530 E. Main St., Richmond, VA 23219. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
