Nila M. Tolliver The Rev. Dr. Nila Mozingo Tolliver, 82, of Atkins went to be with her Lord and family on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, from her home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m. at Akard Funeral Home Chapel in Bristol, Tenn. Committal service and interment will be held Thursday, Nov. 11, at 2 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel in Beckley, W.Va. She was born in Charleston, W.Va., to the late Samuel Franklin and Lula Myrtle Foster Mozingo. She was a graduate of multiple schools and was a retired minister and chaplain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fulton Tolliver; and four sisters. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Trulafaye Tolliver Bowsher of Atkins, Dorothy Charlene Aldrich and Gilbert of Morristown, Tenn.; a son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Robert Tolliver and Doris of Virginia Beach; a foster son, Richard Wayne Porter; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Fern Falt and Phil of Middletown, N.Y.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, the Rev. Neville Mozingo and Patty of Marion, Samuel Ray Mozingo and Margaret of Vinton; a sister-in-law, Ruby Halsey; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jesse Tolliver and Carrie; and many nieces, nephews and foster children. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Akard Funeral Home in Bristol, Tenn.; and Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the mausoleum chapel in Beckley, W.Va.
