Opal H. Hall Opal Hicks Hall, 89, of Draper died Monday evening, Dec. 6, 2010, at The Beulah House in Dublin. Funeral service was held Friday, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating. Interment was in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. She was born April 1, 1921, in Foster Falls, daughter of the late Joseph Rogers Hicks and the late Bessie Carnell Hicks. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pulaski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Foy McGill Hall; a son, Ronnie Hall; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Safewright and Sharon Hall; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Robin Hall; a sister, Gladys Freeman Rosenbaum; four grandchildren, Angela Wright, Alison Pollard, Amanda Marlowe and 1st Sgt. Brian Safewright; and two great-grandchildren, Kailie Pollard and Abbie Pollard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Beulah House, 4704 Caddell Lane, Dublin, VA 24084. Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski was in charge of the arrangements.
