Jackson Revonda "Bonnie" Jackson, 73, died on Nov. 24, 2010, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jamie Jackson; her parents, one brother and three sisters. She attended First Church of God in Chilhowie and was a longtime employee of the former Lowes Food Store and Midway Grocery. Survivors include her daughter and grandson, Melisa Jackson and Grayson Jackson, both of Chilhowie; one brother, James Thompson and wife, Mazie, of Glade Spring; one sister, Thelma "Ted" Elmore and husband, John Henry, of Glade Spring; many nieces and nephews; special friend and caregiver, Misty Grace; special friend, Nellie Harmon; and hospice nurse, Teresa Pennington. Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Dunn and Chaplain Dickie Wilson officiating. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the funeral service and at her home at 111 Riley Drive in Chilhowie. Burial was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Elizabeth Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to drhendersonfuneralhome.com. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.

I knew Bonnie when she was an employee of the grocery store on highway 107. She was always very helpful and a very nice person. May God Bless you and your family. She thought the world of her only daughter.
